Growing up in Australia, I was obsessed with horses from as early as I can remember. By age 8 I started my formal introduction into horses and riding and by age 10 I owned my first pony. I attended Pony Club for 10 years in which I competed in everything from Eventing, Showjumping, Showing and Dressage.
I eventually ended up specialising in Dressage because my horse Monty showed a natural talent for it. With Monty I took him from a newly broken in blank canvas when I was 13 to Equestrian Australia Medium level, training Advanced by the time I was just 18. It was Monty (Mountbatton) who represented Australia at the Beijing Paralympic Games in 2008. Before his retirement he was successfully competing at FEI Intermediare level.
I have been fortunate enough to have worked with great trainers such as Australian Olympians: Megan Jones, Shane Rose and Stuart Tinney. Along with Prue Barrett, Murray Lampard, Jessie Draper and Shannon Dueck.
Horses are my life’s passion and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else other than working with and spending time with them. I enjoy teaching and find it incredibly fulfilling watching my students progress and achieve goals that they never thought they would be able to achieve.
